The Park Village Apartments project consists of the complete rehabilitation of an existing affordable housing complex located in the Hough neighborhood of Cleveland. The property was recently foreclosed on by HUD and sold to Famicos Foundation, who is funding the redevelopment of the project. All units within the project have been completely renovated, including new bathrooms, kitchens and utility system upgrades. The exterior of all buildings has been upgraded, including new roofs, window replacement and landscaping/site improvements. A newly constructed Community Center has been built which will house a day care facility, computer center and recreation space.
TESCO is the General Contractor, responsible for all construction, including both the rehabilitation of the units and the construction of the new community center. TESCO has also assisted in coordinating the relocation of tenants according to a pre-determined timeline. TESCO has three full-time construction superintendents on-site who work with office staff to coordinate the regulatory requirements of the project, including compliance with MBE/FBE, Section 3 and Davis-Bacon wage requirements.
